The collage I did ages ago, the sitting and
lying poses seem more common which may be simply co-incidence as to how I've
randomly encountered them over the years, but may be down to the more delicate
nature of the legs on the third pose, and while I haven't found any
chalky-brittle examples, they do exist in the wider Gem/Festival oeuvre?
George Musgrave sculpts; the [third!]
running pose similar to the one he designed for Britains' Polar Exploration line and believed to be Festival-branded rather than Gem/Ge-Models.
All a bit tatty, but they are probably
half-a-century old! The thinned-down brown paint used to spray the main colour
seems to adhere better, although rubbing-off over time, but the gloss-black
blobs used for the eyes and ears has mostly gone, it probably started flaking
before they left the workshop!
Huskies by festival! Makes more sense than I thought as always considered them to be the Queens Corgi's from a cheap Hong Kong set. Never seen the standing either had a few of each of the others over time though.
