Q is for Question Time - Small Mortar

Chris Smith is asking about this small mortar which he thinks may be a minor British maker's, and I have to concur with him as . . .

Mortar Team; Plastic Mortar; Small Scale World; Small Toy Mortar; smallscaleworld.blogspot.com; Unknown Mortar; Unknown Toy Mortars; Unknown Toy Soldiers; Vintage Plastic; Vintage Plastic Soldiers; Vintage Toy Soldiers; Vintage Toys;
. . . it's not the first time I've seen one, and I'm pretty sure the last time I saw one it was ID'd by someone at the time, being then - myself - a small scale collector I clearly didn't pay enough attention, and wasn't taking notes!

I also have a half a memory I've seen either the same one or another, tied into (or onto) a base-card with a bit of thread looped over the base bars at two or three points. Is anybody able to help Chris with his little mortar?

Late memory coming as I post . . . is a hook and sky-crane type helicopter involved?

I should add that it's quite small, about 25mm high?
