The only tea cosy I knew was a big woolly knitted yellow chicken which was repulsive when I was a child and I'm sure no sane man would think to put it on their head then or now.
This belongs to Billy Connelly who said 'Never trust a man, who when left alone with a tea cosy, doesn't try it on' that said, he may have got it from someone else but I have heard him use it.
