The figures were purchased from Hungary, so
may be of Hungarian origin (especially with those helmets?) rather than
Russian, and they look more 'generic' G.I. or NATO than anything I saw on my
Soviet Studies course back in 1988!

News, Views Etc . . . Airfix Russian Comparisons
I have posted some small-scale figures
Chris Smith sent me straight to the relevant Airfix pages on that Blog, being
the older WWII Russian Infantry and the later Modern Russians.
