U is for Updates - Various

I've added, or started a wants/swaps page above, as and when I will add things I'm after, and things I have to swap in the hope of mutually filling gaps in collections, it's not got much on it, but it will grow, and the pictures of the swaps will disappear once a deal is done!

U is for Updates - Jig Toy Page

I've been adding stuff to the Jig Toy page for a few days now, and I think I added some stuff a while ago and didn't announce it, but there's still a few bits to add, by which time it will be about three times the size it was, but any order it had has been diluted by a more chaotic scrapbook approach.

Among the items still to be added are some larger puzzles from Character Molding of the US, which seems to be where my Fairylite 'Exploding Battleship' came from, no surprise as I pointed out at the time, they were all things to all toy men, including importers! I guess this was the 'Exploding Tank'?

The first word on these puzzles is still Rob's page, and he has added a tremendous amount since I last looked at it here;

M is for More Airfix Updates

I seem to be half-and-half Rack Toys and Airfix Blog housekeeping this week! I've added a few bits to the Farm, RAF Personel, Arabs and WWI French, with smaller tweaks to the Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood and Combat Group pages, Hong Kong stuff, conversions & OBE's, some AHM catalogue images and/or box scans.

I've added a couple more Hong Kong copy/clone examples to the Airfix Farm Stock page, one from Hong Kong generic/phantom brand National; the 'heavy horse' sculpt only, and the other unknown in green polymer, with a few duplicate/improved images of other stuff already on the page!

C is for Canoes - 18a & 18b - Airfix Blog Updates

I've added the old Timpo hollow-cast pages from the trade catalogue to the Khaki Infantry page, as an addendum at the bottom of that page, the late Dave Scrivener did send a couple to me at the time the page was being set-up, they will stay where they are.

I also added some bits to the Airfix Astronauts page over Christmas, but never got round to mentioning it, so some of you may have found them already!

News, Views Etc . . . Kwong Shing et al.

I've added the Kwong Shing entry (Kamley-Kositoys-KS) to the Khaki Infantry page, to which we can now add Larami (LIC) as another importer of their output. The above comparison image is from Brian Berke in New York and shows two sub-piracies, or probable sub-piracies, one lot may well be KS's own? I've included all the similar copies under the same heading until more is known about any of them.

K is for Khaki Infantry Page - Update

I've added some well overdue updates to the Khaki Infantry Page; a complete set of Benbros in near factory-fresh condition, another complete run of poses to the CMV section (courtesy of Brian Berke) and a new entry - ABC - courtesy of Chris Smith.

 

But as you can see from the screen-cap, there's plenty more to come, with new sections in the works for Kamley/KS et al., and  Dorset/Marlborugh/Weston. You can also see Airfix page updates gathering in the background and a mini-season on Lik Be-Holly-Jaru in the pipeline!

B is for But Is It Giant - Vikings

I've put the loose Giant Viking stuff up on the Giant or What? Blog, nothing exciting, bit of a box-ticker, but I realised I'd done no small-scale stuff over there during the recent Rack Toy Month!

I've shown the copies too, side-by-side, along with ship, fort, mounted figures and ex-Marx catapult.

U is for Update - Airborne Airfix 1:32nd Scale WWII US Paratroopers

When I said it might take a few or two to finalise the update post over at Airfix (as I did yesterday) I was doing so a couple of weeks ago! Consequently, that content has gone-in already, and can now be viewed.

A rehash of yesterdays collage is joined by a view all four types, the new colour (from and thanks to; Chris Smith) and a trade-image of the Billy V version of Hing Fat's output, circa 2000-2010's, slowly building the whole picture, one puzzle-piece at a time . . . unfortunately the puzzle has 23,000 pieces and some of the pieces are mini-puzzles themselves!

U is for Update - Airfix Jeep Page

I've added the Noreda Jeep to the Airfix page on the subject . . .

. . . but no need to rush off to it now on the above link, the info' was all in the posts earleir today, but for future reference, it's there now! I will also be doing some Manurba comparison and other (Jean?) Jeep shots for that page in the next few days.

To finish this 'readymade' day, I posted this in a Faceplant group the other day, where it will drop off the radar as everything does there! So sticking it here to get it tagged properly, the over-text is self explanatory, and we looked at them all earlier in the day.
