Somebody (Tim?) was asking me about the old London Model Engineering and Modelling Exhibition a few weeks ago, which I think used to held in January, or at the very end of December? Well, I said at the time that I thought it had died a death, but in fact it's still going, now in Doncaster, in May! Called the 'National'; details below.

Hamley's Again
Their second store in Kolkata (formerly 'Calcutta')
is actually their 150-somthingth store; London may be the brand-flagship, but
the market is moving East and the Brwreakshiteers just don't get it! Think

Not really 'posting' at the moment but I
picked these up this week, seem to be a bit of fun! The Man Bat and Man Super
are articulated, possibly McDonalds or something although they have the logo
similar to Kinder which is becoming
common in these lots and may be connected to some corporate holding company, or
just Maxi-eggs which - as I've pointed out recently - are on the rise, sales
wise? The Flash is marked likewise and all three are old-school costumed.

Now in The Works
These were all over the place about
10/12-years ago, branded to an Alexander or Alexandria? Alexandria I think,
then about six (poses) were in The Works
around 6-years ago. Obviously; they are back, but only the one pose (which was
probably issue one - the commonest in a part work) carrying the same Russian/Eaglemoss branding and Chinese factory
details as the AFV's a year or two ago.
I've previously avoided them, large chunks
of factory-painted whitemetal, but this was reduced to 25p, so why not! They
are much poorer finished than contemporary Del Prado or K&C, but still look
OK on a shelf.
I think he's an Iron Brigade mounted
infantry officer from the ACW, but could be from an Italian State around the
time of Garibaldi? [Murat! - See comments] They have a few, so if you've avoided them in the past and
would like an inexpensive sample of a very 'not rare' figure, now's your
chance!

This is marshal Johachim Murat. He wrars this former uniforne and this original hat at the begining of the russian campaign in summer 1812.
Thanks annon, I see there are plenty on feebleBay for a fiver, best get down to The Works anyone wanting one; where they are 50p or 25p depending on the store!

Hi Hugh,
In the unlikely event that you don't already know the purple female figure is from the Star Wars Command line of figures and depicts Sabine Wren from the Star Wars-Rebels animated series.
Cheers Steve! Looking at this on another browser I've discovered some of you are reading weird alphabetical 'codes' where there should be rows of soldiers! I'll have to screen-cap and .jpg them . . . bit late now though!
