By hiding the PVC-vinyl imports in the
small print, well played Hasbro!
Still, at least they're not rare-earths! If you want to play hardball with
China Donald, you need a level of intellect you don't have!
Old toys . . . you want to know where to
find old toys this coming week . . .

Also / And / And Also!
6th June 1944
It can't have escaped your notice that this
Thursday is the 75th Commemoration (a lot of people died) of the Allied air
& sea armada and the landings in Normandy (Alliiert Landungsunternehmanoperation
von See und Luftlandeangriff aus Normandie abbreviated with National
Socialist precision to WTF?) which paved the way for the
liberation of Europe from the yolk of fascism, from starvation, from industrial
murder . . . and from the Vichy!
I can't possibly find, do justice to, or
make space for all of the events which will be going on, both sides of the
English Channel and elsewhere in the world, so here are three of the main 'event'
links, and I'll leave it to those keen to attend something to take it from
here. If there is a little local-thing you know of and think others may be
interested-in; feel free to drop something in the comments as you pass or add
other useful links.

Some events will be this weekend, the
majority next, with the main services on Thursday/Friday, for which we have to
put up with the fat, weird-haired, blow-hard, gobshite one! No, not Boris the
other one! No, not Kin Jong Un . . . the corrupt, white, biggly-wiggly
burger-stuffing, President one . . . you know; the one in Putin's sexy-pee-pee
videos! Hummm, yeahhhh, he's visiting! Great! Greatly-great . . . I said so!

Toys in the Media
A rather fine dolls house (mansion!) being
used to flog some clothes in last Friday's ES Magazine. Presumably it's a
modern one as you wouldn't want even a half-starved model draped over an
antique! You can see the hinges for the middle section, allowing the whole wall
to open.

H
is for How They Come In
Apart from the Sandown Park purchases last
weekend (17 rack-toys among other things!) was this China-marked Tim-Mee copy, who was found, here, on
the floor and probably came with those superheroes/other bits seen in this slot
a couple of weeks ago.
This week's 'big score' was two bags of
Chinasaurs, among which were what appears to be all or most of contents of a Safari
Mini's 'toob' (the bag to the left) and a trio of AAA/'Triple-A' beasts -
the other bag.
Bath-time on Dune;
"Just stand there and let the nice lady wash your barnacles, or I'll blow you away!"
"Just stand there and let the nice lady wash your barnacles, or I'll blow you away!"
I also got these out of the 50p basket in
one of the charity shops, the stable-girl is modern and Chinese, the seal pair
are Kinder (I think) and the 'army
man' is another Soma. While I'm
assuming - from the BBC license - that the other . . . ahem . . . 'item' is a
Dr. Who thing? But it'll look good in some future fantasy figure round-up . . .
or something! I guess it's scaled for 3 or 4-inch action figures?
⌂⌂۩۩۩⌂⌂⌂⌂⌂۩⌂⌂⌂۩۩⌂⌂⌂⌂۩⌂۩۩۩⌂⌂⌂
Sorting
Sportsmen
. . . and sportswomen! Trying to label-up the figures that have featured in
recent editions of Plastic Warrior
magazine, but it's not easy, there seem to be a least five lots and the Pepsi-HK set are different sculpts!
⌂⌂۩۩۩⌂⌂⌂⌂⌂۩⌂⌂⌂۩۩⌂⌂⌂⌂۩⌂۩۩۩⌂⌂⌂
The
'dividers' today are trying to be a row of beach-huts as we are heading into
'Flaming June' with a forecast of colder weather next week, but Saturday is
supposed to be a scorcher!

Hi Hugh,
How's things? and as usual your sense, Spidey or otherwise is spot on in that your find is 'Prisoner Zero' from Matt Smith's first episode as the good Doctor Who. Your well earned reputation as a plastic guru remains solid.
S.I.G!
Hummmmmmm, Yeeeeesssssss . . . you credit me with far to much insight! I 'aint no guru . . . I just thought it was some generic like the weeping angels or something, you know - a whole screen-full of them! So it's a main character? I was guessing from the 'BBC' on the base, for a main character it's not vary good as it barely says upright!
Anyway - cheers for ID'ing it properly Steve, you's dah DH guru!
H
And yeah, things are OK, just not Blogging properly until matters have run their course . . .
