The answer to all my questions was no, not
really, the world had continued to turn in the night, as it has for countless
eons and as it will continue to keep turning for millions of years after I
myself have long-gone.
There are still formalities to attend to (obit in The Times; mid-week?),
but I should be back with more normal Blogging toward the end of next week.

Other Stuff
Received with Thanks
Plastic Warrior number 175 is out now, a
full review will be forthcoming. A highlight is the article on Fontanini Napoleonic-types penned by
Peter Evans, which I hinted-at being in the pipeline when covering them a
couple of years ago, and the interim time goes some why to showing the length
of the queue over at PW Towers!
It's getting like that here too, some
contributors will attest to stuff disappearing into the fathomless hole of my
assurances 'it will all happen
eventually', and I can only repeat that mantra, you can only publish so
much in a given period, and newer things, rarer things or more exciting things
will always push other things back, while easy things will be pulled-forward if
time is particularly pressing.
It's all there somewhere, along with
400-odd articles or part articles I've made a start on! Sometimes it's the photo's
done, sometimes it's a scan or two, sometimes it's just an idea expanded to an
opening paragraph or two, in a word.docx, but it will . . . all happen
eventually!

H is for How The Come In
Nothing exciting this week, unless you
happen to be an 'LRG'er with a penchant for Moshlings
and Crazy Bones, but I picked-up two
bags of the aforementioned for peanuts, and they will be fed into several
existing posts which are already in the queue and it's looking like they are
going to make a blind-bag 'blob'-collectables day, sometime; maybe Christmas?
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
Beat the Thrush This Year!
The Walter hybrid - can you smell
bubblegum?
Although she was so keen to get as many as
she could, I nearly kicked her by accident twice, and girly-girl got her claws
in at least once, leaving the thrush at the top of the holly tree singing her
indignation (or celebration of survival?) while Katie sat on the lawn, looking
miffed with several fine under-down feathers stuck round her mouth! She (the
thrush) had managed to thin them out though, I recon she's had about a third?
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
Links/News
More posed miniatures, but this time usingthe props or licensed toys from the film (not Preiser and Noch!), artist Mitchel
Wu is behind these and they take a lot of setting-up
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
From the WTF Department
Basingrad - of course!
Ten-out-of-ten for effort sir; but I think
it needs to be in a green bin, not a black bin vandalised (by you?) with green
aerosol! And this probably from the generation that's supposed to be saving the
planet from ours and our parents mess!
