Hall purchases; what can you spot - it's
not the best photograph, but we'll be looking at most of the interesting bits
later today, or in the next few weeks, while some has been sorted away for
another day.
Of note is the bag bottom-right, which has
some more of the Comics Spain (and
copy) Muppet and Robin Hood figures and some sort of Moomin-types? While the bag top-right was saved for my by a chap I
think is called Kevin (mate of Mike Harding's?) which was very kind of him; a
nice group of space stuff. He'd actually saved several things for me and I had
some stuff from another bag (possibly the vehicles; bottom left, or cake
decorations?) and I think I went with the bag of mostly Airfix small-scale from him for a couple of the odd figures
included . . . but anyway, it was very kind of him!
The Cofalux
motorcycle (top middle) came from Nicolas Aulnette who let me have it very
cheap, but I'll return to Nicolas in a further post. You'll also recognise
pirates (for ITLAPD), Airfix Farm
copies and an interesting fisherman. Floor sweepings (top left) were very poor
this year with a Timpo horse-base
(which outlive the horses in increasing numbers!) and a Timpo head, being the only finds!
The unexpected bargain was the AMX13, which when I got it home was
found to contain two complete kits, so I'll be able to make one up, and leave
the other in the box!
I bought the 100mm Fontanini Napoleonic from Brian Carrick and he thrust the rest at
me for nada, nicht, zilch . . . nothing. We've covered most of it in the past,
but the runners of new-production 25/28mm stuff are useful gap-fillers, I've
put them away now and can't remember who the maker is, Toy Solder Company, Perry
or Warrior? While the HK Swoppet Indians
are the better ones, with extra parts/separate jerkins.
Peter Evans chucked these at me ( he had
already sent two lots to the Blog since last autumn), and we'll look at the
'Shearer' in a while, the two carded
sets will probably be opened and looked at in August (RTM) [here now!] but there's a lot to cover then,
already in the queue now!
This was all from Adrian Little's table,
where the plastic is always widely diverse and interestingly different! A lot
of it is in forthcoming posts already 'in the bag', but jewels to spot include
a Kleeware locomotive whistle, a Beeju lorry with Beeju 'logo board' on the cab which was new to me, a couple of Applause Star Wars, a set I've only just
stated collecting (big and modern!), a bag of Cherilea's 54mm dancing loons, another blue Crescent 'khaki' infantryman and a couple more jig-toys.
