About Me

I’m a 60-year-old Aspergic gardening CAD-Monkey. Sardonic, cynical and with the political leanings of a social reformer, I’m also a toy and model figure collector, particularly interested in the history of plastics and plastic toys. Other interests are history, current affairs, modern art, and architecture, gardening and natural history. I love plain chocolate, fireworks and trees, but I don’t hug them, I do hug kittens. I hate ignorance, when it can be avoided, so I hate the 'educational' establishment and pity the millions they’ve failed with teaching-to-test and rote 'learning' and I hate the short-sighted stupidity of the entire ruling/industrial elite, with their planet destroying fascism and added “buy-one-get-one-free”. Likewise, I also have no time for fools and little time for the false crap we're all supposed to pretend we haven't noticed, or the games we're supposed to play. I will 'bite the hand that feeds', to remind it why it feeds.

News, Views Etc . . . Forthcoming Events; Saturday 31st August - Friday 6th September 2019

Apologies to those overseas readers who
don't know the tune to the Hokey-Cokey!

What an odd week, we have the Italians (who produced the above man-child sculpt) turning away from fascism, with a delightful irony as the other chap was positive he was going to be picking-up El Douche's crown; a crown left rather tarnished and fishy-smelling by Berlusconi, while over here our meat-faced, walking heart-attack has gone for a putsch on parliament, with Queeny's help!

It's also Ironic that in America, underage-sex fans who might prove embarrassing to the establishment die suddenly (and not that clearly), in their cell before they come to trial, in Italy they get re-elected three times . . . Bunga-Bunga anyone? And where's that Andrew? We put ours in number ten . . . what? Oh . . . sorry; apparently she's not under-age, must be just a masochistic power-groupie!

They're all rotten, none of them like democracy, they're not keen on obeying the rules that govern the rest of us and we should stop voting for them, but that's an idle fantasy, some people think they are all brilliant and are happy to believe their lies! Meanwhile, the world keeps burning.

You could drown your sorrows in a toy fair . . . Saturday's gone a bit pear-shaped but Sunday's busy . . .

Other News

The local toy shop have sacked their policeman (see Blog passim) and replaced him with an Amazon, or should that be knightess (I suspect in the correct Playmobile sets she's a Princess!).

H is for How They Come In

A quiet week compared to last week, only two little bags for 75p and £1.25 for a whole two quid! A few Phidal's (I think), some Blue Box 'Singapore' animals, a couple of horses and a fish & turtle - for the next marine round-up! Smaller, upper piles of larger items will go back to charity.
