I’m a 62-year-old Aspergic gardening CAD-Monkey. Sardonic, cynical and with the political leanings of a social reformer, I’m also a toy and model figure collector, particularly interested in the history of plastics and plastic toys. Other interests are history, current affairs, modern art, and architecture, gardening and natural history. I love plain chocolate, fireworks and trees, but I don’t hug them, I do hug kittens. I hate ignorance, when it can be avoided, so I hate the 'educational' establishment and pity the millions they’ve failed with teaching-to-test and rote 'learning' and I hate the short-sighted stupidity of the entire ruling/industrial elite, with their planet destroying fascism and added “buy-one-get-one-free”. Likewise, I also have no time for fools and little time for the false crap we're all supposed to pretend we haven't noticed, or the games we're supposed to play. I will 'bite the hand that feeds', to remind it why it feeds.

R is for Rubber Retro Rocketry

Sort of box-ticking, as we've definitely seen one of these in a shelfie, and I have a fancy I've subsequently bought one and posted it, but I can't find it under the Tag, so, whatever! While the other seems all new, so we'll start with it!

New from Legami, a kids craft glue-stick with a retro rocket on the cap! The veritable flood of such stuff '23/'24 has slowed a bit, and I haven't been checking the usual haunts as often this year, so may have missed a few! But fun item to add to the others.

This pencil top was shelfied at a trade show, and we looked at the back-pack sharpener a while back. I though I'd got one of these too, but I can't find it on the Blog, so if it's had two outings; lucky it! The 'perfumed' rubber smells of soft, Cornish, butter fudge, which is not as overpowering as the usual strawberry or tutti-fruity you get in similar cases.
